TEN Hire and Jeff Gregory - Praise indeed!

30 Nov, 2020

Some of TEN's Hire work means going the extra distance for customers but Jeff Gregory has really taken this to heart with his recent training trip to Western Australia. With two of the new Tesmec PT2451 Puller Tensioners and located in one of the hottest places on the planet, under pressure (and considerable heat) Jeff certainly went the extra mile.

And the Extra Mile he went. Because of the recent interstate border restrictions due to COVID19, Jeff agreed to self-isolate in Government Quarantine for 2 weeks before he could even get to the worksite to start the training - Further delays due to the ship's arrival into Fremantle resulted in Jeff collectively spending 5 weeks away from his family - A massive commitment to the customer and to the TEN Group.

Onsite training in stressed conditions is all in a days work for Jeff Gregory of TEN Hire. However, even Jeff admits that there is a lot of background work that goes into the planning and delivery of the training for utility contractors using advanced machines like the Tesmec PT2451.

Our main priority is to deliver the training that allows the operator to work safely and efficiently.

The latest training for TEN Hire was at the Northstar mine, a remote site in the Pilbara region, Western Australia. Five linesmen received comprehensive training on the latest digital Tesmec PT2451 Puller Tensioner. Whilst three of the five had already received training on AFB506 machines, the Generation 4 PT2451 uses a digital remote control and as a new machine, operation requires additional knowledge.

Such was the success of this latest training program, Powerline Plus kindly took the time out to write the testimonial below.

To: Mick Dickfos and Jeff Gregory

"Hi Mick,
Thank you very much for arranging Jeff to come over west and introduce us to the new machines. He filled our brains with all the required information and was a great help with the site on job training. The on-job training was greatly appreciated by all as it was a real-life adventure for us.

We commend Jeff on his ability to train greenhorns and leave them with the required confidence to continue operating the machines.

Jeff,

The guys greatly appreciated your patience and the knowledge you shared. You left us with great confidence, enabling us to complete the top two phases without any snags. We all look forward to any other training experience with you. Stay safe and healthy.

Kind Regards,

Eddy"
