Non-metallic cable socks are made of plastic coated Aramid fibres that are light weight, yet much stronger than steel wires. Aramid are a class of heat resistant and strong synthetic fibres used in aerospace and military applications. These grips are traditionally used in overhead ABC applications or when pulling fibre optic cable.
