Hydraulic WirePilot 3T Winch & Disc Brake (Fail Safe) Skid

The WPS-1-3.0T-K is a single drum cable drum Winch and Brake stand employed for the reconductoring or new conductoring of overhead and underground cable by either hydraulic winching, hydrostatic braking or friction braking of 1 conductor under tension from a cable drum.

OPERATIONAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Capable of a winching force of 1500kg @ 1300mm Diameter @ 10rpm and lighter cable tensions up to 75rpm
  • Drum may be operated to high torque low speed or low torque high speed via a high / low range switch
  • Winch drive can also be operated as a braking unit via a toggle switch enabling 1500kg @ 1m braking force up to 60rpm
  • Drum frame is also fitted with a friction braking system capable of applying a cable resistance tension of 400kg at 975mm drum diameter and can be used when the power pack is not connected or running
  • Braking system is fail safe and must be activated to release the brake
  • The winching and braking force can be controlled by the operator from zero to full tension
  • Drum skid and power pack capable of being mounted to a container sized flat bed truck or trailer
  • Foot print physical size is a maximum of: 1600mm Long x 1600mm Wide x 1650mm High with a 1300mm diameter drum installed
  • Main structural components are hot dip galvanised, all other components are powder coated
  • Operator has full control of winching and braking operations from the manual controls with the option of an electrical corded controller
  • Operator has control to operate via hydraulic hand pump to brake the drum when the power pack is not running
  • Formal risk assessment training according to AS 31000 - 2009
